The FIM – Field Induced Mydriasis Device – is a novel device that dilates eye pupils faster and safer without the need for mydriatic eye drops. The FIM device gets dilation in non invasive treatment. It speeds up the time consuming eye examination process by avoiding the need of eye drops for fast pupil dilation. Dilation is achieved in 60 to 120 seconds (instead of 30 minutes by drops), and constriction back to normal after eye examination is achieved in about 90 seconds. This allows the patient to continue their normal daily routine tasks like driving, reading, working, etc., without the well-known side effects of the mydriatic substances.
